First-Aid Instructor Course

The Lifesaving Society First-Aid Instructor Course will provide candidates with the knowledge and resources required to plan, organize and deliver all levels of First-Aid and CPR that are offered by the Lifesaving Society. This includes: Basic First-Aid, Emergency First-Aid, CPR -A, -B, -C, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), and Standard First Aid. While the ‘Lifesaving Instructor’ certification some candidates may already hold allows candidates to teach Emergency First Aid & CPR-B, holding this certification will allow you to now teach all levels of first aid & CPR (including but not limited to Standard First Aid & CPR-C). Candidates must note that only First Aid examiners are able to officially certify others. You can become a First Aid Examiner by taking the Examiner course and apprenticing with a qualified Examiner Mentor. 


Prerequisites:

Minimum 16 years of age by the end of the course,

Standard First Aid certification from one of: Lifesaving Society, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross Society, Canadian Ski Patrol. Certification does not need to be current.


Course SCHEDULE:

Day 1 - Saturday - 8:30-6:30

Day 2 - Sunday - 8:30-6:30
